The best coffee beans, that is... what kind? We suggest how to choose coffee for your espresso machine

Coffee aroma has swept Poland. Compatriots are increasingly less likely to drink the "black with grounds" familiar from a previous era. We open ourselves to new sensations, looking for more flavor and aroma notes, which the coffee maker often helps to create. In this text, we suggest what is the best coffee bean and how to choose your favorite coffee for your coffee machine!

First, a tip for those who do not yet own an espresso machine. When choosing a model, pay attention to the coffee the manufacturer recommends for it. Select equipment so that your favorite coffee can be brewed in it. Usually coffee beans fit in the coffee maker, but some grinders can't handle harder or larger varieties!

Fragrance from the first opening of the package!

Professional baristas pay attention to the smell of coffee as soon as they open the package. It should be mild, but at the same time intense. Pay attention to the fact that the coffee beans will enchant you with their fragrance from the first contact. The right aroma of the grains, later translates into the smell of the ground beverage, but also into its taste.

Of course, coffee after going through the express should also charm you with its fragrance. Remember that only the best bean coffees are characterized by an intense coffee aroma, which often floats for a long time.

Taste is an important aspect

The bean coffee you pour into your machine should have a refined taste. After all, you don't buy an espresso machine to drink the same coffee you've been pouring or pouring water over so far. The beverage brewed in the equipment should stimulate the taste buds. For many years of drinking "grounds", we associate coffee with an extremely bitter taste. This is a big mistake!

Coffee's bitterness depends on its roasting. It was very common to pour directly boiling water over ground coffee. In this way, the grains (already ground) were heavily burned and the bitter, unpleasant taste escaped. Effect? A few teaspoons of sugar and there was virtually nothing left of pure coffee. For espresso machine coffee, it should be quite different.

A good coffee bean that will pass through the correct brewing in the machine is slightly sweet. Thus, it releases all the flavor and does not require the addition of sugar to drink it with pleasure. You should enjoy drinking coffee without adding anything - then you can be sure that the coffee you buy is good!

Which type is best?

The first step after buying a coffee machine is to choose the right bean coffee. Customers are faced with three popular types of this remarkable beverage - arabica, robusta or liberica? Each type of coffee has a different taste, texture and price.

In the opinion of the vast majority of baristas, whole arabica is considered the best coffee in the world. Full means that there are no additional admixtures. Why it is so highly regarded? The beans of this coffee make the texture of the drink more oily and the taste more pronounced.

The best coffee for your espresso machine should also match your expectations. If you're looking for a coffee that's intense and stimulating, it's a good idea to invest in a product from the south of Italy. The beans contain more robusta (a variety of African coffee, which is also grown in Europe), which in turn translates into flavor and amount of caffeine. Northern Italian blends, on the other hand, are softer.

We encourage you to test!

And finally, a piece of advice - don't rely on the opinions of others. You have to feel for yourself that the coffee is made just for you. In this way, you will avoid disappointments, taking full advantage of the moments of relaxation!
