Espresso Syrup wins Best Food Product at World of Coffee 2015

From 16 to 18 June 2015, Gothenburg in Sweden hosted Nordic World of Coffee under the patronage of the Speciality Coffee Association of Europe (SCAE). At the time, the association brought together around 3,000 members worldwide, representing major names in the coffee industry. Leading coffee professionals and enthusiasts gathered there for the event.

The 2015 show was among the best-organised in the event's fifteen-year history. More than 5,000 visitors, business partners, producers and retailers attended over three days.

It was also the first time our company, Cafe Borówka, exhibited there. Although we are proud of our roastery and believe it ranks among Poland's best, this time we had not come to present our coffees. We brought a new product: Espresso Syrup.

We presented our naturally made coffee syrups in nine flavours. Among around 160 exhibitors, we felt we had something distinctive to enter into the competition.

On the day of the results, we wondered whether anyone would notice our syrups among the products of so many respected, well-known coffee companies. Imagine our surprise when the result was announced.

Espresso Syrup won the New Product of the Show Award — 2015 Best Food Product.

The judges explained their choice: “A syrup made entirely from natural ingredients at competitive prices. The syrup range also offers a wide selection of flavours.”

For the first few minutes, we were stunned. People congratulated us while the news slowly sank in: we had won! What more could we ask for?

We wanted the news to travel throughout Poland. We had created a product that could stand alongside those of major international companies. And the taste? We invited everyone to try it for themselves.

At the time of this announcement, further details and purchases were available at www.cafeborowka.pl, with 500 ml and 100 ml bottles and sets of the smaller size. Join us in remembering what victory tasted like.
